Boerne Champion’s Elizabeth Leachman Set to Compete at US Olympic Trials

Teachers of Boerne Independent School District have allowed a pupil to act as a delegate of the U.S.

A Texan student from the Hill-land has been leading in the competitions like no other leaving some even in a state of surprise while breaking records along the way. Coming up next is the 2023-24 Gatorade Female Cross-Country runner who will have a chance of possibly running for her nation.

A post on Boerne ISD’s X has it that Elizabeth Leachman, about worthy student of Boerne Champion High School’s sophomore class, has been invited to the U.S.A. Track and Field’s Olympic Trials. Be assigned a ranking, and she will be on her way to France where she will serve as a United States designated representative at the Summer Olympics set to take place in two thousand twenty-four.

“And so the Boerne ISD post said about Elizabeth Leachman being a Stand-Out at Boerne Champion. She is now qualified for the Olympics of the year 2024 at the Women’s 5000 metres Field Trails.”

At the 2024 UIL 5A Track & Field State Championships, Leachman set new records by running 4:41.36 and 10:11.40 for the 1600m and 3200m races respectively. Furthermore, she is the national record holder in the 5000m with a time of 15:25.27. The qualifying time for the U.S. Olympic Track & Field trials is 15:45.00.
