Janhvi Kapoor: Sridevi once said, “I don’t see Janhvi going into acting.

Karan Johar recently hosted Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor on Koffee With Karan 8. During the episode, the filmmaker brought up Sridevi’s name a few times, including in an interview where Sridevi said she didn’t want Janhvi Kapoor to act. The interview Karan was referring to was done in 2017 and Sridevi  not only said that she was not involved in Janhvi’s acting career but  wanted to see her tie the knot.

Sridevi had spoken about Janhvi’s acting career in 2017 in an interview with Mid-Day. She said, “Janhvi wanted to do this film and I was against it at first. I don’t think the industry is bad. I am a creature of this universe. But as a parent, I would be happier to see her get married. Her happiness is more important. If she succeeds as an actress, then I would be a proud mother.”

Sridevi, on the other hand, supported Janhviand’s career choice and was aware of all aspects of her career. In the same interview, Sridevi was quoted  as saying, “Janhvi and I are very close. We spend most of our time together. We have a routine that revolves around each other.”

Janhvi said that Sridevi did not want to do an acting career and Khushi would be a more suitable choice for the industry. Janhvi was seen on the Koffee with Karan 8

Sridevi died on February 2, 2018 at the age of 24. She was attending her nephew Arjunand’s wedding in Mumbai when she died. According to reports, Sridevi died due to drowning. Janhvi revealed the news of Sridevi’s untimely death in an interview on a KWK (Karan Johar) show. Janhvi remembered hearing Khushi crying in her room.

However, Khushi’s tears soon turned into tears when she noticed Janhvi’s sadness. Now that Janhvi is out of the picture, she has a few projects lined up for her next schedule. These include ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’, ‘Devara’ with Jr NTR.
